Who are we?

The Fried Seven, is an international group of young musicians based in Amsterdam united by their shared passion for Early Jazz. Their concert repertoire, spanning the 1920s and 1930s, includes the music of King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, and Duke Ellington, as well as original arrangements.

The band's ability to bring new life and excitement to old styles has dazzled audiences at Grachtenfestival, Jazzfestival Heerde, The Breda Jazz Festival, Jazz in Duketown, The Enkhuizen Jazz Festival, and the Classic Jazz Concert Club.

Laura Dooge

"Laura patiently admired the Seven from a distance until she worked up the courage to ask if she could join them for a few songs. Fortune favors the brave and, in this case, the audience as well, who gets to enjoy her sweet, nuanced vocals. "

                                     - Julio Schwarz Andrade

Laura also sings the Great American Songbook of the 1940s and ’50s and, with her own band, Vondelier, explores the rich repertoire of lyrics written in her native Dutch.
